Il Gualdo

The estate of the Antico Podere del Gualdo which is situated in the heart of the Chianti wine region, can trace the origins of its buildings, now converted into holiday homes, as far back as the Medieval era. Il Gualdo estate offers 6 really nice apartments, a swimming pool with sun terrace (12 x 6 mt) open in summer, a tasting room (medieval cellar) handicap accessible and equipped with tables, fireplace and bathroom (which is also fully accessible and barrier-free) . There are many trails suitable for mountain biking, a few kilometers away there are farms that organize horse riding, in the area you can rent Quads and Scooters. Near the complex passes the “Eroica”, the most popular, non-competitive, vintage bike race of Italy, which takes place between September and October. End of September, less than 3 km from Il Gualdo takes place the Chianti Classico Cup that is the most important uphill speed race for historic cars in Europe.
